Every morning at Tesoro, something meaningful is happening. The children arrive, settle into their routines, gather for circle time, and begin their day with a sense of purpose and belonging. On March 19 and March 20, parents of our three-year-olds get to see it for themselves.
Open Classroom is one of our favorite events of the year, because it gives families a real window, not a polished performance. You are coming in to observe a genuine morning at Tesoro, which means you will see your child exactly as they are during the school day: curious, engaged, and at home in their learning environment.
What to expect when you arrive
Both mornings run from 9:00 to 10:30 am. When you walk in, your child will already be in their element. You will have the chance to observe circle time, which is one of the anchors of our daily routine. Circle time is where children build language, practice listening, connect as a community, and engage with the concepts their teachers are introducing.
You will also see the rhythms of the classroom in motion: how teachers guide transitions, how children interact with each other, and how the day is structured to support whole-child development.
Why this matters for your family
One of the things that makes Tesoro different is our commitment to transparency in learning. The whiteboards outside each classroom list the day’s activities so families always know what their children experienced. Open Classroom takes that transparency a step further by letting you be present for it.
When you can see what your child’s day looks like, you can have richer conversations with them at home. You understand the context of the friendships they are building, the vocabulary they are picking up, and the skills they are developing. That knowledge strengthens the family partnership we work hard to build at Tesoro.
A note on dates
March 19 is open to all families except Salon Diamante. March 20 is reserved for Salon Diamante families. No RSVP is needed. Simply come ready to enjoy the morning.
We are looking forward to having you with us.
