On April 30, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, Tesoro is celebrating El Día del Niño with our current Tesoro families. If you have never heard of this holiday, you are in for something wonderful.
What is El Día del Niño
El Día del Niño, which translates to Children’s Day, is a Mexican holiday celebrated on April 30 each year. Its purpose is simple and profound: to honor children. To celebrate who they are, to express gratitude for their presence in our lives, and to dedicate a day entirely to their joy.
It is not a day for performance or achievement. It is a day for children to be celebrated exactly as they are.
Why it belongs at Tesoro
At the heart of the Tesoro experience is a belief that children deserve to be seen, celebrated, and loved for who they are today, not just who they are becoming. Our SPECIAL values, which include Service, Positivity, Education, Community, Inspiration, Acceptance, and Love, are not aspirational. They describe how we treat children every single day.
El Día del Niño gives us a dedicated moment to make that visible. To bring families together and say: look at these children. Look at how much they have grown, how much joy they carry, how much they matter.
What we have planned
The celebration includes arts and crafts, traditional Mexican snacks and bites, and Mexican games for the whole family to enjoy together. It runs from 3:30 to 5:00 pm and is open to all currently enrolled Tesoro families at no additional cost. No RSVP is needed.
Come as you are. Bring your children. Let them be celebrated.
We are so grateful for every family in our community, and we cannot wait to spend this afternoon with you.
