There is something that happens every year at Tesoro that never gets old
A child who arrived in September clutching a parent’s hand and searching for the right words walks across a graduation stage in May singing songs in Spanish, beaming at their family, ready.
That transformation is not an accident. It is the result of a full year of intentional, joyful, whole-child education rooted in the Tesoro Way.
Our TK Graduation on Friday, May 29 is a celebration of that journey. Children will process in their caps and gowns, perform two songs en español for their families, receive their diplomas, and gather together one last time before stepping into the next chapter.
But the ceremony is just the visible part. The real story is everything that led to it
Over the course of this school year, our TK children built literacy skills in two languages. They explored dramatic play stations from a taqueria to a construction site to an ice cream parlor. They planted seeds in our garden and watched them grow. They learned to navigate friendships, practice kindness, and develop the social-emotional tools that set children up for a lifetime of learning.
They did all of this alongside teachers who know them by name, who celebrate their individual strengths, and who show up every single day with warmth and genuine investment in their growth.
