The start of every school year is a truly special time here at Tesoro. Throughout August and September, we have cherished the wonderful opportunity to really get to know your child. We love watching them play, navigating new experiences with joy, and settling into our happy classroom family.
That time together truly blossoms in October as we move into our fall assessments and parent-teacher conferences. This is a wonderful way for us to celebrate everything your child is learning. We look at their development across key areas like cognitive, language, adaptive, social-emotional, and motor skills using our familiar Frog Street curriculum. Because these are activities your child already enjoys in class, the process feels natural and fun.
As a dual-language school, we're also excited to see where your child is starting their Spanish journey. We'll assess again at the end of the year to share the story of their progress with you.
Each classroom has a dedicated week in October for parent-teacher conferences. This is a chance for your child's teacher to sit down with you, walk through these milestones, and chat about all the exciting things on the horizon.
We truly believe this process is most successful when we work together as partners. The more we learn about your child at home, the better we can support them here at school. These conferences are where that partnership really comes to life.
