Our Center
Outdoor Classroom: Our outdoor classroom is not only used for activities, but also for lesson time, circle time, and lunch time. Our students always love outdoor story time or having lunch outdoors!
Healthy and Well-Balanced Food Options: We provide well balanced and health-conscious snacks. We know that the types and quality of food we eat affect our energy and mental focus. We implement our motto of “Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds” by striving to serve as many organic food items as possible. Our students learn about different food groups and what are considered “healthy choices”.
On Site Garden: Our students have the opportunity to incorporate herbs and vegetables from our Tesoro Garden as part of snack. Children also learn about the process of planting, nurturing, and caring for plants as part of our curriculum.
Advanced Security Systems: Safety is our number one priority at Tesoro Preschool. We have cameras within and outside of our center to ensure the security of all children, families, and staff within the campus. In addition, every family is assigned an access code to enter the preschool property. Also, various drills are held to ensure that staff and students all are aware of the necessary steps to take in an emergency. Lastly, all staff on site are trained in CPR and first aid.
Designated Parent Meeting Room: At Tesoro Preschool, we are highly focused on the partnerships we have with every family. We are happy to have a designated space for this at Tesoro Preschool. We have a room specifically dedicated to parent workshops and our parent book club meetings. This space is a place where we can all be comfortable and learn from each other. This room is our own family classroom which we have called the “Think Tank".
