For many families, summer camp is a solution to a scheduling problem. For families at Tesoro, it’s something more.
Our Summer Camp begins June 1 and runs through the end of July. Two full months designed around the same philosophy, the same warm community, and the same dual language immersion environment that makes Tesoro special during the school year.
What sets our summer apart is the intentionality behind it. Each week has its own theme, chosen to expand on topics children explored during the school year. The daily structure and routines stay consistent, because children thrive when they know what to expect, even in summer. And layered into every week are extra moments of joy: face painting days, water play, splash pad trips, popsicle afternoons, Spanish movie days every other week, and picnic days that turn a regular lunch into something memorable.
The learning does not stop in June. It just looks different.
Children continue building vocabulary in English and Spanish throughout the summer through themed play, outdoor activities, and the kind of organic, joyful immersion that our dual language model is built on. Research consistently shows that maintaining language exposure over the summer makes a meaningful difference in retention and growth, especially for young learners. At Tesoro, that exposure is woven into every single day.
