Starting March 30, we are opening registration to waitlisted families in the order they joined the list, giving more children the chance to become part of something truly special.
For families who are new to Tesoro, here is what you are stepping into.
A program built around dual language immersion
Tesoro is a dual language immersion preschool for children ages two through five. Every day, children learn, play, and grow in both English and Spanish. The program is not a language class added onto a regular day. It is woven into everything: dramatic play, circle time, enrichment activities, and the daily routines that shape how children experience school.
Families choose Tesoro specifically for this. The results show up in real life: children confidently using Spanish in their communities, with family members, and in situations their parents did not expect.
Enrichment that is part of the program
Tuition at Tesoro includes enrichment activities that other programs charge extra for. Yoga, STEAM, art studio, robotics for children ages four and five, gardening, multicultural curriculum, music and movement, and a research-based motor skills curriculum are all built into the school day.
A family partnership model that actually works
Tesoro is not a drop-off-and-go program. Families are partners here. Parent mingles, parent workshops, a parent book club, and Parent Night Out weekend care every other Friday are all part of the experience. The teachers communicate daily through Brightwheel, and whiteboards outside each classroom list the day’s activities so families can have specific conversations with their children at home.
A campus designed for children
Located at 3030 Thorn Street in North Park, Tesoro’s indoor and outdoor classrooms are designed to inspire learning. The campus features cameras, access codes, and staff trained in CPR and first aid, so families can drop off with confidence every morning.
If registration opens for your family this week, we hope you will take the step. We cannot wait to meet you.
